June 29, 2004 - Jeremy decided there just wasn't enough racing planned for the week, so he decided to race the dirt stock car at the Southern Iowa Speedway in the Stock Car Shootout on June 29th and 30th.  Night number one of the two day special proved to be a good one for Jeremy.

Jeremy had the rare "good draw", and was positioned well in his heat race.  The car ran well and he finished 2nd, automatically transferring him to the feature.  This was very important as over 50 cars were in attendance.

After the heat race it was time to go to work.  Jeremy and his crew changed all four tires.  He also decided to change three shocks on the car for the feature.  These changes would later prove to be the right way to go.

Jeremy started 11th in the feature.  The car was very fast and he moved up to the 4th position in the first few laps of the race.  Around lap 15, the motor started to lose power.  Later, Jeremy found that it was running on only seven cylinders.  However, this did not keep him from running hard and earning a 3rd place finish in the feature.

Jeremy will also attend night number two of the Stock Car Shootout.  Then, he will go to Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, OH for the BF Goodrich Tires 250 Hooters Pro Cup race on July 2nd.
