| April 17, 2004 - Jeremy headed to
Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway for the first race of the USAR
Hooters Pro Cup Northern Division schedule. After very good
results from the
BF Goodrich tire test, he hoped for a good race
weekend. Friday was set aside for technical inspection and a two hour
practice session. Jeremy was able to get on the track for one
green flag session to get the feel of his Chevrolet Monte Carlo on the
track. He did find that the car was not turning upon acceleration
the way it had at
Mansfield
Motor Speedway.

Saturday started out
with time to make changes to the car. Jeremy took his experience
from Friday's practice session to change the rear end gear and make a
few other changes. Throughout the day, the car was stable, but
tight. Using suggestions from Gary St. Amant, Jeremy was able to
finally get the car to a slightly loose condition. However, he
still was not able to get enough grip to the racetrack for corner
acceleration. After the end of Saturday's practice, Jeremy made a few
more changes to the car trying to make it as good as possible for his
qualifying attempt. He was to be the first qualifier of the day.
He put in two solid qualifying laps of 17.3 and 17.1 seconds.
However, the time was just not enough to make the field for Saturday
night's Lucas Oil 250. Jeremy currently has no concrete plans for his
next USAR Hooters Pro Cup race. In the immediate future, he plans
to attend his next dirt stock car race at
Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, MO this Friday and Saturday
night, (April 27th and 28th) for the J&J Ag & Travel Connection
USMTS special.
