| July 31, 2004 - Jeremy packed up and traveled to
Mansfield, OH for the Pepsi 250 on Saturday night. After
attending the
BF Goodrich tire test at Mansfield, he hoped for a good race weekend
to add to his growing asphalt experience.
The day started similar to
the tire test back on March 27th with rain in the area and a wet race
track. However, with little delay, track officials were able to
dry the track and get practice started. Jeremy was able to get up
to speed quickly at the start of practice. Throughout the day he
ran very well with the 37 cars in attendance. He made changes to
the car and felt better with it each time. Jeremy ended up 30th on
the charts for practice. He was surprised with that, thinking he
had been quicker, but knew he could pick up some time in qualifying.

37 cars showed up to Mansfield and nearly 13,000 fans
came to watch Hooters Pro Cup racing
Jeremy drove the car to its limits in qualifying. His fastest
lap was the first of his two laps at 18.335. The second lap was
just a tenth of a second slower as he drove hard into turn one and
pushed up the track. This time ended up 30th just as he had been
in practice, but felt good to Jeremy for race condition.

Four cars had to move to the rear of the field for the start of the
race, moving Jeremy up in the pack. He started the race and ran
well all throughout the night. He did make one change with the
track bar during the night and was pleased with how it made the car
feel. He was able to avoid trouble various times through the night
avoiding accidents and other drivers' spinouts. Jeremy ran the
race to completion and finished 6 laps down from the leaders in the 20th
position. He was very happy with how the night went and definitely
gained much more experience.

Jeremy has sold his dirt stock car, so he will now be able to
concentrate fully on his next
USAR Hooters Pro Cup race. He next plans to race at
Iliana Motor Speedway in Schererville, IN on August 21st.
