July 15, 2004 - Once again the USMTS modified series was in southeast Iowa to put on a full night of racing.  This time they were at the Eldon Raceway in Eldon, IA.  Jeremy found a surprisingly low car count when he arrived for another night of dirt car racing.

Jeremy had to start at the rear of his heat race.  The small field of cars still managed to create a tight pack with cars racing up to four wide down the track.  Unfortunately, this four wide racing cost Jeremy a good finish in the heat race as his left rear tire was cut down forcing him off the track.

Jeremy decided to make a few changes to the car, including two new tires, for the feature.  There would only be eleven cars, but he knew that he would have to get to the front fast having only a twelve lap feature.

Starting in the ninth position, he was held up by traffic for the first couple laps.  Once he was able to go, Jeremy started a charge to the front.  By the time he reached the

fourth position, the top three cars were ahead by almost a full straight away.  With just a few laps remaining, he caught the group and started to battle for the second and third positions.  At the end of the night, Jeremy finished in fourth, missing the third position by just half a car length.

Overall, it was another great run from the back in just a few laps for Jeremy.  Currently, he has plans to race in at least three to four more special races throughout Iowa and Missouri for the rest of the 2004 racing season.
