October 4, 2003 - Saturday night Jeremy returned to the Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, MO. Just two weeks ago he dominated this track for his first dirt track victory of the year. Jeremy planned to return just as strong for the Mid-West Challenge. Jeremy continued his now famed "bad luck draw" when drawing for his heat race starting position. The car was good and he finished the heat race in the third position. This put him in the redraw for the feature, so he would have a chance at a good starting position.
Jeremy drew the tenth starting position for the feature race, just outside the 77M of Jeff Mueller. The race started with Jeremy looking to move quickly to the front of the field. However, a few cars just in front of him created an accident and Jeremy had to stop to avoid hitting them. Unfortunately, track officials believed this made him part of the caution and moved him to the back of the field with the other cars involved. This did not damper him as he moved steadily up through the field. Jeremy was able to finish the feature in the fourth position. He was disappointed and felt he definitely had a car that could contend for the win. Jeremy will next race at the Marines.com 1/4 Mile Challenge Cup at the Hawkeye Downs Speedway October 10-12.
