September 21, 2003 - Saturday night at the Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, MO became another very fruitful night of racing for Jeremy Miller.  Once again, a large field of race cars were on hand for the All-Star 100 night of racing.  Two man cruisers, hobby stocks, stock cars, modifieds, B-modifieds and late models made up the six different classes of racing.

The track was in a good enough condition for hot laps to see that Jeremy had a fast car for the evening.  It was also a good chance for him to get some new tires scrubbed in and ready for future nights of racing.

He started inside the second row in his heat race and quickly jumped into the lead.  With just a few laps remaining the car became very loose and Jeremy's large lead was lost and he finished second.  The right rear tire was found to be deflating quickly which had caused the ill handling condition.  This still qualified him easily for the feature and put him into the top twelve group who would redraw for their starting position in the feature race.

Jeremy drew a number five starting position for the feature race, starting him inside the third row.  Starting directly in front of Jeremy was Jeff Mueller, who was on Jeremy's pit crew during the summer of racing in the ASA series.

The track condition had become very rough for the feature race.  Many ruts and holes were in the track surface.  This made it extremely important to find the perfect line for entering the corners.  With the low side of the track being the best line, Jeff and Jeremy immediately jumped to the first and second positions respectively on the first lap of the race.  Jeremy soon passed Jeff for the lead and they battled back and forth most of the race.  With approximately three laps remaining, Jeff fell back and Jeremy went on to capture the victory in just his third race back on the dirt tracks of the Midwest.

Jeremy's will next race in The Tradition at the Adams County Speedway in Corning, IA on Saturday, September 27th.
