September 6, 2003 - Jeremy returned to his racing roots for the first time Saturday night in Eldon, IA for the Memorial Race.

The night started out with hot laps where the track was still too wet and slick to feel how the car was going to handle.  However, it was a nice short run to bring Jeremy back to dirt track racing.

In his heat race, he learned that it was going to take a few more laps for it all to come back.  He had an easy spin in turn four.  With the high car count, the track officials did not allow anyone who caused a caution to continue in the race.  This forced Jeremy to run the B main.

By the time the Stock Car B main started, the track had become a dry/slick, one groove track.  Starting inside the third row did not help as the bottom had gone completely away.  By the time he was able to get to the top of the track, he was unable to finish in the top two and qualify on to the A main.

Overall, it was a good night to get back in the dirt car and re learn dirt track racing.  Jeremy will compete next in the Fall Challenge in Oskaloosa, IA on Sept. 12 and 13.
