July 18, 2003 - MGM Motorsports felt a lot of progress was made at Madison International Speedway on Friday.  The day started out with the first practice session which Jeremy used to get a feel for the car and track so he could start making adjustments to the car.  The first practice session ended with Jeremy's best lap time being 19.756 seconds.

The second and final practice session of the day showed that the adjustments made worked very well.  Jeremy felt the car was better with each run in the session.  Jeremy's lap time improved to 19.336 seconds, a gain of 0.420 seconds.

Jeremy felt very comfortable with the car for qualifying.  He put in one good comfortable lap.  Then he ran hard on the second lap picking up over 0.4 seconds for a qualifying time of 19.016 seconds.  Unfortunately this fell just 0.06 seconds short of making the race.

Over all, Jeremy was happy with the progress made throughout the day.  He felt that everything improved very well.

The next race is August 2nd at Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI.  It will be broadcast live on SPEED Channel at 9:00 PM EST.
